Who is this Matt Ramos guy,
anyway?
Matt is a full-time professional photographer from the
Capital District area of Albany/Schenectady, NY. Born on a military base
in Germany, Matt grew up as a semi - "military brat." By the age of 20,
Matt had visited a total of 17 countries between Europe and Asia, and had lived
in Germany, Italy, Japan, and England in addition to the beautiful Black Hills
of South Dakota. Matt moved to New York State in 1997, and has resided in
the Capital Region since. These travel experiences early on, are what
ultimately sparked Matt's first passion in photography, and would later become a
fulltime business and dream come true.
After attending 3 high schools in three different countries,
Matt attended the University of Maryland, and holds extensive experience in business, marketing
and computer technology, which is often used to offer cutting edge options &
services for his clients. Matt considers himself to be self taught,
however continues to stay sharp with his skills by attending photography &
business seminars from some of the leading experts & photo journalists in the
industry. Matt
always seeks to improve his knowledge and ability in the arts, and is a
proud member of both, the WPPI
& PPA national professional photographer
associations as well as the Better Business Bureau of the State of New York.
Matt holds over 15 years experience, with both film
and digital equipment, however shoots 100% high end digital. Being a
stickler for the best, Matt shoots only with top of the line Canon equipment
such as the 1D Mark III, 1Ds Mark II, 1Ds Mark III, and 5DII professional cameras,
which hold a superior amount of megapixels and quality over what many other
photographers choose to shoot with (17-21 megapixel equipment).

here) Despite the equipment being used, Matt's work, style,
creativity and personality & professionalism have allowed him to become known as
one of the top and most sought after photographers in Upstate NY & the
surrounding areas. (read

Matt shoots roughly 30-40 weddings per year, along with
various other commercial projects, events, model/actor headshots, and family
portraits, etc. While Matt often books events a year or more in advance, he
is excited to meet & build new client relationships each week!
